As an award-winning journalist and the author of five highly acclaimed true crime books, I've spent twenty years writing about real cases, real people, real murders. It's been an amazing education on law enforcement and the criminal mind.

Now, I'm expanding into fiction, with the release of the first Sarah Armstrong novel, SINGULARITY, the riveting tale of a Texas Ranger hot on the trail of the strangest killer to ever stalk the Lone Star State.

True crime aficionados, don't worry! How could I give it up? I love digging into sensational cases, getting down to the nitty-gritty, where all the questions are answered, not just who, what, how and where, but the most important, why?

My latest TC book: DIE, MY LOVE, on the Piper Rountree case, premiered in May 2007. It's the true story of a troubled marriage between a Texas attorney and her professor husband. The unlikely union dissolved in a toxic divorce that led one to plot a cross-country murder. For those of you familiar with the Rountree case, DIE, MY LOVE answers the fascinating questions revolving around Piper's unusual sister, Tina.

Along with SINGULARITY, I have a new true crime book, A DESCENT INTO HELL, scheduled for publication in July 2008. It's on Austin's amazing Colton Pitonyak case. There'll be more in the future; when a worthy case knocks, I'll head out in search of the story behind the headlines!
