The Matt Baker CaseI've chosen the Matt Baker case in Waco, Texas, as the subject of my next true crime book. Matt, a Baptist minister, called 911 in 2006 saying he'd found his 31-year-old wife, Kari, a teacher, dead on the bedroom floor. It was first ruled a suicide, but prosecutors are now charging that Matt murdered Kari, then staged the scene to make it appear as if she took her own life.
