DIE, MY LOVE: A LITERARY GUILD SELECTION!

March 9, 2007

Okay. I admit it. I'm bragging here. But I'm so excited, I just had to share. Yesterday I learned that DIE, MY LOVE, my new true crime book debuting in May, has been chosen by all the major book clubs: The Literary Guild, Doubleday Bookclub, and the Mystery Guild, as a featured alternate selection!

It's an honor to have a book chosen, and this is the second of my books to make the cut. The first was SHE WANTED IT ALL.

This is yet another honor for DIE, MY LOVE; the first was when Carlton Stowers endorsed the book writing: "Casey takes her readers on a dark and haunting journey, where good and evil, love and hate, collide with tragic results. DIE, MY LOVE is proof once again that she's among the elite of true crime writers. This is her best yet…" Carlton, of course, is an incredible author, the winner of two Edgar Awards.

Meanwhile, I'm hard at work on "Descent into Hell," the book on Austin's Colton Pitonyak case. The interviewing is nearly completed, and I'm organizing the mountains of material I've collected, sorting it into the appropriate boxes, and getting ready to write.

Don't tell anyone, but I may play hooky this weekend. Just between us: Spring has arrived in Houston, and six bags of mulch and two flats of pink and white begonias have my name on them at the local nursery. It'll take me away from my computer, but those flowers will brighten my days all spring, summer, and fall.

Wishing you all beautiful days ahead….
