It's a book!

18-Jul-2004

Hi all,

I've finally put the new book to bed. "She Wanted It All," the story of Celeste Beard Johnson, is at HarperCollins in New York going through copy editing and will be published soon. I don't have the exact date yet, but I'll let you know as soon as I do.

So far, I have one blurb for the cover. Two-time Edgar winner Carlton Stowers read the manuscript this summer and wrote: "Not only is this a dark and twisted family tale you won't soon forget, but Kathryn Casey's vivid writing and dogged research establish her as one of the very best true crime writers in the business."

So, now what? Well, I'm talking to my editor about book four. I'm considering the case of a suspected serial killer, who's scheduled for trial in Houston this fall. It's a fascinating story that spans two decades, one with lots of twists and turns.

If anyone out there has another suggestion, please email it along. I'm grateful for your ideas. Please keep me in mind as you scan your local newspapers. And thanks for your interest. I'll keep you posted.

Best,
K
