It's a time of Thanksgiving

November 2, 2010

Tags: World Vision, Charitable Contributions, Authors, Readers and authors reach out

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Thereís so much need that it seems overwhelming. As we approach Thanksgiving, many suffer here at home and around the world. In response, a number of authors have joined hands to do what we can. We've formed a new group, Writers and Readers Reach Out. Our goal: to raise money for the worldwide relief organization World Vision. To accomplish that, we're asking all of you out there to help make a difference. Your $10 donation will aid impoverished communities across the globe, bettering lives. Throughout November, Iíll be accepting donations for this worthy cause. To contribute, please send a check or money order MADE OUT TO WORLD VISION to:

Kathryn Casey
P.O. Box 1525
Tomball, TX,
77377-1525

If you do, along with the joy of giving, an iPad may be in your future. The author collecting the most money will pull a name of a contributor from a hat and award a brand-spanking-new iPad donated by Jim Taylor Chevrolet in northeast LA.

Times are tough, and I realize that not everyone can give, but if you are able to, no matter the size of the donation, please help us help others. (Although we're only asking for $10, larger donations are great.) To see whatís possible when we all work together, take a look at World Visionís accomplishments: www.worldvision.org
